This Privacy Policy explains how ChessPace (hereinafter the "Site") handles personal and technical information. The Publisher (everwinner64) is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your data. Access to the Site implies full and unconditional acceptance of this Privacy Policy by the User.

- PostHog: Used in a cookieless mode if you decline cookies, ensuring we still receive basic usage stats without tracking you personally.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: Always active. It collects non-identifying performance data (loading times, Web Vitals) to ensure the Site remains fast and stable. It does not use cookies.
Cloudflare services: The Site uses Cloudflare (including Turnstile) for security and protection against abuse. This may involve processing technical data like IP addresses under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and Local storage: The Site uses strictly necessary cookies for security. Game settings are saved locally via localStorage (they stay on your device).

3. Use of Information

We believe in "Privacy by Design". Your data is used strictly to improve ChessPace, never for advertising.

Our analytics approach adapts to your choice:

If you ACCEPT cookies: We use Microsoft Clarity. This gives us the most accurate "picture" of how to improve the site (e.g., identifying which buttons are confusing or which pages load slowly). All data is pseudonymized.
If you DECLINE cookies: We respect your choice by switching to PostHog Cookieless Mode. No persistent identifiers are stored on your device. We only see aggregate movements (e.g., "someone visited the home page").
In all cases: Cloudflare Web Analytics helps us monitor the technical health of the site without any tracking.

Data transmitted via the contact form are kept only as long as necessary to process your request, and then deleted. No automatic storage or backup is made by the Site.
